Juanjo Mena es profesor titular y director del Departamento de Didáctica, Organización
Escolar y Métodos de Investigación de la Universidad de Salamanca (USAL, España). Es
director del GRUPO DE INVESTIGACIÓN INTERDISCIPLINAR SOBRE INTELIGENCIA DIGITAL EN PROCESOS EDUCATIVOS (INDIE).
Completó su maestría (con honores) en el Departamento de Psicología del Desarrollo y obtuvo su doctorado con premio extraordinario y mención especial de «Doctor Europeo”. En la actualidad es miembro ejecutivo (tesorero) y Representante Nacional de ISATT. Su investigación se centra en la práctica docente, la formación docente, la evaluación, la mentoría y las TIC. En la actualidad es coordinador del proyecto de investigación de la Unión Europea titulado: Digital Practicum 3.0 Exploring Augmented Reality, Remote Classrooms, And Virtual Learning To Enrich And Expand Preservice
